As a native of the southwestern United States, Eva was drawn early in her art career to the
unique landscapes and light of the region.
Primarily working in watercolor for many years on location in plein air, she found an affinity
with the land and the natural suroundings. Frequent themes in her work have often been
majestic vistas of canyons and mountains ranges which are complimented by the fragile
microcosoms within a single flower, plant, or mountain stream. Gradually expanding to
works in oils, Eva continues to search for new ideas using still lifes, figurative, wildlife, and
architectural themes.
After recieving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona, Eva continued
her studies in Lucca and Florence,Italy, Madrid and Costa del Sol in Spain, San Miguel de
Allende in Mexico, and at the Scottsdale Artist School in Arizona. She also continues to
take workshops from nationally know painters which brings new incentives and directions to
her work. Teaching workshops and classes in both watercolor and oils has also given her
additional stimulus for growth.
Born in Denver, Colorado, she has remained a resident of the southwest for most of her life
and now resides in the southeastern corner of Arizona where the mild climate makes it
possible to sketch and paint outdoors 8 months out of the year.

"Painting is a continual evolution of one's self. The discovery and
exploration of ones own personal vision as an artist is a journey that
never ends. It only continues to expand and build on itself over the
course of a lifetime."
